Peter Ignazi is Creative Director of BBDO Toronto. But he wasn’t born in that position. Along the way, he became a research chemist for Dow Chemical in Germany, acquired an MBA from McGill University, and worked for many years as a copywriter at such Toronto agencies as Taxi and Downtown Partners DDB where he created a number of popular Bud Light Institute adverts. He then spent a couple of years in New York City as Creative Director and Partner for Amalgamated Advertising. Peter Ignazi has judged many national and international shows and has won such awards as Cannes lions and One Show pencils. In 2004, he was named top copywriter in Canada, and has twice been included in the top ten list of most awarded copywriters in the world by Boards magazine and The Gunn Report. Peter has even had an ad run during the U.S. Superbowl in which an upside-down clown seemingly drinks a beer through his ass. His mother is proud of him.
